At Ban Khuyen Hoc (BKH), also known as the Calgary Vietnamese Association for the Encouragement of Learning (CVAEL), we believe in the power of education to uplift and connect. As a not-for-profit organization, our goal is to break down barriers for Vietnamese students by offering free tutoring and scholarships that recognize and support their academic journey. We serve both Canadian- and foreign-born Vietnamese youth, providing them with the tools and encouragement to succeed. Beyond academics, we’re committed to fostering cultural pride, building intergenerational ties, and strengthening the bridge between Vietnamese and Canadian communities. Through volunteer-led initiatives and community involvement, BKH creates a space where learning, connection, and opportunity come together.
