Ban Khuyen Hoc (BKH), also known as Calgary Vietnamese Association for the Encouragement of Learning (CVAEL), is a not-for-profit organization that works on minimizing barriers in accessing educational supports for students of Vietnamese descent. We offer two educational supports: free tutoring and scholarships.

Our objectives are:

1. To procure the delivery of educational support to Canadian or foreign-born Vietnamese students.
2. To provide all necessary resources for carrying on its various educational and community support objectives.
3. To provide a centre and meeting place for the various activities of the Association.
4. To provide tutoring support to Vietnamese students.
5. To promote the understanding and integration between generations within the Vietnamese community as well as between two cultures: Vietnamese and Canadian.
6. To award scholarships to honor students’ academic success.
